Supplication

And supplication is among the most effective of medicines, it is the enemy of affliction, repelling it and treating it, preventing its descent and lifting it if it has descended, it is the weapon of the believer. With affliction, it holds three stations:

the first is to be stronger than affliction, repelling it;

the second is to be weaker than affliction, so affliction overcomes him, but he may alleviate it even though he is weak;

the third is to confront it and prevent each of them, their owners.”
